Above are three pictures of my dear mother when she was a certain weight and after two years and a loss of 90 pounds later by eating Cantine Kat meals and walking a little everyday. Also, she has no more back pain or any pain. She walks faster and is more agile than ever before. Her blood tests confirm she has no other underlying common diseases like diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. According to “The 2017 AARP Brain Health and Nutrition survey, released in early 2018, … found that significantly more adults age fifty and over without heart disease rated their brain health/mental sharpness as “excellent” or “very good” compared to those with heart disease.” Dr Sanjay Gupta’s book, “Keep Sharp” p 163. Also, “Common conditions influenced by diet such as elevated blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes harm both cardiovascular and cognitive health.” Dr Sanjat Gupta’s book, “Keep Sharp” p 163.
Cognitive health is extremely important. When we are young we take our everyday lives and what we can do for granted, unless we have health and emotional issues, but overall we don’t necessarily realize that one day even as early as our thirties we may not have all our cognitive abilities. “Alzheimer’s disease may be more aptly termed a younger and middle-aged person’s disease.” Dr Sanjay Gupta’s book “Keep Sharp”p 95. Let’s eat well so that we can hold on to our identities and our dignity. With age my mom’s cognitive health has been decreasing; but, with exercise, healthy eating, great sleep, coloring or painting activities and as much socializing as possible; she is still aware.
“In 2017, Dr Gottesman published a follow-up study that showed how certain risk factors, including high blood pressure, diabetes, and a smoking habit, have on your chance of suffering dementia later in life. Smoking and diabetes were the biggest threats: Diabetes was linked to a 77 percent greater risk, and smoking in middle age was associated with 41 percent higher odds of dementia. Gottesman’s work has also documented that obesity can double the risk of having elevated amyloid proteins in the brain later in life.” Dr Gupta’s book, “Keep Sharp” p110
We are quoting from Dr Gupta’s book because we are not doctor’s. We would never make statements that have not been studied or researched by reliable sources and believe them if they were made up. These claims are justified with studies and we believe them because it actually is working. Sure you may be skeptical because if it is true then why haven’t we started eating less or no meat, exercising and not smoking a long time ago. Well our ancestors did. They hunted for their food and while hunting they were exercising and they didn’t smoke (maybe other stuff) but I wasn’t there. As my children explain that things are different while they are raising their children; we are evolving. With evolution, we learn about the past and try to move forward to a better future perhaps.
Again, let’s start or try eating more healthy with Cantine Kat, I promise you will feel rejuvenated and not hungry. Most importantly, we hope you will a live a life of dignity!
