My mom likes fried foods, beans, nuts, salad, all different types of vegetables except kale and she loves potatoes and bread. Lately she likes sweet almost more than savory. Also, she is not particularly found of wraps and sandwiches because they are too complicated for her to eat without making a mess. Certain preparations of tofu do not excite her, while others do. This is just to name a few of her choices of meals with the information that I have discovered about her. She has no food allergies but she is lactose intolerant. The only herb she doesn’t care for is cilantro.
If she were to choose from the menu she would probably try all the salads except the kale one. All the soups would interest her since they are all ingredients she likes and they only have the actual vegetable, no horrible additives, and they are creamed down to perfection without any cream added. She loves mushrooms, so the miso-mushroom pasta would be good; however, she is not a fan of pasta (believe it or not) so she would prefer the chicken paprikas with mashed potatoes, or stuffed cabbage with mashed potatoes (always the potatoes) and the stuffed pepper with again, mashed potatoes. Also, the fried cutlet would be her liking, although it is from tofu; when it is seasoned and fried it is like a cutlet. She also enjoys the Burek (native to Croatia), the tofu chicken wings, and Shepherd’s pie. Of course her favorite bake would be scalloped potatoes. In the Asian inspired section she would pick the peanut stir fry and or the Asian stir fry because both have plenty of vegetables that she likes, so she doesn’t mind the tofu in that. She also loves fried fish that is not on the menu, but with pleasure I will make fried fish upon anyone’s request; however, being that we are not near a body of water that produces fish I am not prone to suggesting it. If it is a request from you, I will buy the fish at the best markets in town.
If you desire Indian food or any other favorites, please note it in your order. I have a least four hundred recipes and I am willing to learn more. It is just impossible to note and showcase that many recipes on one website. That is why I keep repeating myself in saying that the menu is just a basic idea of what I can make in a vegetarian version.
